Charles G Delamar (various spellings) was born in Ireland about 1798. In 1850 he was living in St. Paul's Parish, Colleton with his South Carolina-born wife Susan and their daughters, Martha, Mary, Jane, Elizabeth and Julia. In the same year he enslaved nine people.
