R Arnold was born in Ireland about 1815. In 1850 he lived in Spartanburg, South Carolina. Also resident in his household was Minor McComby (also known as McCombs) Rebecca McComby and their daughter Elizabeth. In 1860, the McCombs lived in Sandy Plains, Polk, North Carolina.
R Arnold enslaved twelve people in 1850, the youngest were two little girls aged one.
