James Wallace 1783-1851 was a Jesuit priest who was laicised in 1844. He was a professor of mathematics, natural philosophy and chemistry at the South Carolina College 1820- 1834
He lived in the Lexington District of South Carolina in 1850. The value of his Real Estate was $3,000. He enslaved four people, a 48 year old woman and three young men aged 24, 20 and 15. He was described as having no occupation.
